Hospital Agamenom Maglhaes
Located near the vast majority of the poor districts of Recife, Agamenom Maglhaes Hospital offers free health care to the indigent population of Pernambuco. The Hospital is one of the biggest in the city with 300 beds. On July 1st, 2001 The Smile Train agreed to fund 50 additional surgical treatments for children with cleft lip and palate. The Cleft Care Program will be under the direction of Dr. Joao Ferreira de Amorim Filho at Agamenom Maglahaes Hospital.
