Hospital da Baleia
The Smile Train has formed a partnership with Hospital da Baleia, operating out of Belo Horizonte, a city in eastern Brazil. Fundação Benjamin Guimarães, the non-profit organization which sponsors the hospital, has devoted more than 50 years to the health care of poor people. Under the guidance of Renato Rocha Lage, M.D. and Roberto Zimmer Prados, M.D., Hospital da Baleia has provided cleft care for more than twenty years. With The Smile Train's funding, they will provide 50 additional surgeries in the coming year.
