2nd World Cleft Congress
On September 15-19, 2002, The International Cleft Lip and Palate
Foundation in Munich, Germany hosted the 2nd World Cleft
Congress. The Congress, organized by Dr. Hans-Henning Horch, Dr.
Hans-Florian Zeilhofer, and Dr. Robert Sader, emphasized a different
key topic each day: Interdisciplinary Approach, Charity, Innovative
Technologies, and Face to Face with the Patient. An Education and
Training Grant from The Smile Train supported scholarships for symposium
participants from developing countries who otherwise would not have
been able to attend. The scholarship recipients were from Brazil,
Chile, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, India, Nigeria, Russia,
and Sri Lanka.
