The Children’s Surgical Centre
Centre Chirugical Pour L’Enfant Petit Morabitoun was founded as an answer to the high demand of specialized infant surgical assistance in Mauritania. The center provides free surgery for children who cannot afford the cost of the surgery. The small staff works hard to address the issue of cleft lip and palate, as well as other pediatric birth defects. With the help of a Smile Train grant to provide 100 free surgeries for children with cleft, the Centre Chirugical Pour L’Enfant, will be able to continue to provide cleft care to many more children who cannot otherwise afford it.
