Rush Craniofacial Center is a non-profit organization located in Chicago, Illinois.
The Center's Co-Director, Alvaro A. Figueroa, has teamed with Dr. Carlos Breitfeld and Dr. Lola Arevalo of Banco de Prevision Social in Uruguay to develop a treatment protocol for managing patients with severe maxillary hypoplasia. With a treatment grant from The Smile Train, Figueroa, Brietfeld and Arevalo arranged for a group of experienced surgeons to attend a three day training program in Uruguay. 8 patients received this advanced surgery for free during the course of the program.
