Children's Craniofacial Association
A Treatment Grant for The Children's Craniofacial Association in Dallas, Texas, provided emergency funds to families for transportation, lodging, and food during hospital stays. As Executive Director Charlene Smith wrote to us, "Even with good insurance coverage, travel, hotel stays, and ancillary costs can put a monumental strain on family budgets, and in many cases, prevent a child from receiving quality medical care. The thought that even one child might not receive the medical care she needs because her family cannot afford to travel is unthinkable."
