International Education and Resource Network
In collaboration with the International Education and Resource Network (I*EARN), The Smile Train "Cleft Buddy" project involves elementary school students around the world in raising awareness about children with clefts and other facial deformities. The project utilizes email, e-postcards, and the Web to create a global cleft awareness classroom. Using the extensive educational network developed by I*EARN, The Smile Train "Cleft Buddy" project has already been established in eight countries: Brazil, China, Ghana, India, Lithuania, Russia, Taiwan, and the United States.
