The "Nuts and Bolts Session for Nurses/Coordinators" Pre-Conference Symposium
The Smile Train sponsored an Education Grant for the nurses' symposium regarding the care of children with cleft lip/palate and craniofacial anomalies. This symposium was held in conjunction with the 58th Annual Meeting of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association in Minneapolis in April 2001. Approximately 150 nurses/coordinators from 100 cleft palate clinics across North America attended this symposium. The focus was on those aspects of care of the child with a cleft or craniofacial condition that are critical to our everyday functioning on the teams.
