ASPS/PSEF Research Grant Explores Causes of Cleft
The Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation (PSEF) is a non-profit
organization that functions as the philanthropic and educational

(ASPS). The Smile Train and PSEF have partnered to develop and
support The Smile Train Cleft Lip and Palate Research Initiative
which would provide directed grants for healthcare professionals
to perform research in the areas of etiology, treatment, or care
for children with cleft lip and palate. The Smile Train has granted
$100,000 a year for three years toward this initiative.
Through
this partnership, PSEF and its Directed Research Grant Committee,
is providing research grant opportunities which are funded by The
Smile Train. PSEF has an established application and evaluation
qualification process for The Smile Train Cleft Lip and Palate Research
